展覧会「Happy Poison」のメイン作品。
お七が振袖姿で火の見櫓に登る場面。
まだあどけなさが残るも、お七はオンナ。恋の絶頂にあるオンナ。
彼女の一番幸せな時は恋焦がれる時だったのです。
（江戸の空も焦がしましたが）
――お七は江戸本郷の八百屋の娘で、恋人に会いたい一心で放火事件を起こし火刑に処されたとされる少女である。井原西鶴の実録ルポ的な小説『好色五人女』に取り上げられたことで広く知られるようになる。
お七という名前だったかは定かではないがモデルになった人物は実在するとされる。
この悲恋物語「八百屋お七」は、のちに浄瑠璃や歌舞伎などの芝居の題材になった。

〜〜Oshichi was the daughter of a greengrocer in Hongō, Tokyo.
She set fire to the building because she wanted to see the man she had met during the fire again.She was burned at the stake.Ihara Saikaku’s novel ‘The Five Women in the Rumours’, written in a reportage-style.
